Sokoto-based Non-Governmental Organisation, Unity, Peace and Mobilisation has sensitised no fewer than one hundred youths on the dangers associated with hard drugs abuse in the state.

The one-day anti-drugs sensitization campaign was tagged, ‘Drugs to Fruits.’

The State Chairman of the association, Alhaji Nura Attajiri said that the campaign was part of efforts to complement the government efforts in dealing with the menace of drugs consumption and trafficking.

“The event is to encourage the youths to shun drugs and migrate to the consumption of fruits. As leaders of tomorrow, the youths will then be useful to themselves, their families and the society,” he added.
