Niger state Acting Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba has called on the people irrespective of political, ethnic and religious affiliation to encourage the citizens on ensuring peace, love unity and brotherhood so as to fast tack the state development.
The Acting Governor made the call at Minna Eid prayer ground after performing the two rakaat’s prayer for Eid el Kabir led by Chief Imam Minna Central mosque Sheikh Ibrahim Fari.
Comrade Garba stressed that peace is the prerequisites for any meaningful development and challenged Nigerlites to sustain peaceful coexistence.
He thanked stakeholders for their support to the present administration would also wants Nigerlites to put Niger state first above personal interest to achieve maximum results.
In his remarks former Niger state Governor Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu commended the Federal Government for the removal of fuel subsidy which he claimed was hitherto being used to service other things rather than the actual subsidy.
The former governor than appealed to wealthy Muslims to assist those who do not have to alleviate their plight while he called on the people of the state to support the governor to succeed in the task of developing the state to greater height.
