A Socio-Cultural group under the auspices of Paigokni Development Association has held the maiden economic and security summit to enhance security, economic and cultural development in Paikoro local government of Niger state.
The president of the association, Alhaji Yahaya Tatiko said it become necessary to look inward aimed at addressing some of the problems confronting their community which include; portable water, poverty, unemployment, infrastructure, security and economy among others.
Tatiko explained that the association is devoid of religious, political and tribal sentiments, but that the essence was to ensure peace, unity and progress of the community.
The chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Abdullahi Kwatu reiterated that no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of violence while calling on the youths to ensure peace and tranquility ahead of the 2023 general elections.
