Niger State governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has launched the 2024 farming season’s sales and distribution of fertilizer and other agricultural inputs at 50% subsidized rate in Niger State.
The governor made the announcement at the flag off of the 2024 farming season sales and distribution of fertilizer and other agricultural inputs at farm center in Minna.
He reiterated the commitment of his administration in prioritizing agriculture, investing in machinery and technology to boost productivity in line with ambitious New Niger Agenda.
Bago reassured commitment to achieving sustainable food security, reducing food costs, and addressing unemployment.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner Ministry for Agriculture, Musa Salihu Bawa Bosso said the state is prioritizing the implementation of directive of cultivating 10,000 hectres of land in each of the 25 local government areas.
