Niger Gov wants Assembly to confirm Abraham Umar as commissioner

Niger State Governor Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has forwarded the name of Abraham Umar for screening and confirmation as Commissioner and member of the state executive council.

The Governor in a letter to the speaker of the house Abdullahi Bawa Wuse said the  appointment and confirmation was as a result of vacancies created with the resignation of some commissioners seeking for elective position in the general election.

He said the name was submitted for screening.

Similarly, the State Assembly has also confirmed the renewal of the appointment of Shehu Yusuf Galadima as the chairman of the state Civil service commission.

His confirmation followed the adoption of a report by house committee on labour productivity and services.
