Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has donated 20 operational vehicles to security operatives in an effort to curb crimes in Minna and environs
Governor Bago who inaugurated the vehicles at the government house Minna, expressed concern over the security challenges faced in the state capital and optimistic that the vehicles would assist in curbing the menace.
The Governor directed the Commissioner of Police (CP), Niger State Command, Ogundele Ayodeji to make effective use of the vehicles to address insecurity within the state capital.
He emphasized that his administration will give zero tolerance to drugs and other forms of criminalities.
He ordered that anybody found selling drugs, his building should be confiscated and demolished.
CP Ogundele Ayodeji spplauded the Governor for providing the operational vehicles to aid their work in ensuring the safety of lives and property of the citizenry, assured that the people of the state will breathe a sigh of relief as his men and other sister agencies will swing into action immediately.
Out of the 20 donated vehicles branded “Operation Flush”, 12 were given to the Nigeria Police, two each for State Security Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps while the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Hunters Group, and Anti Drug Committees received one each.
