Niger govt exempts hawkers, petty traders from tax

Niger State Government has exempted hawkers and petty traders from paying tax.

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago announced this while speaking to newsmen at the Government House in Minna.

The governor noted that petty traders are being exploited with tax and directed the Local Government Council Chairmen and councilors to take note by ensuring that such practices stop with immediate effect.

He disclosed that the state has a centralized tax system that has exempted all hawkers and petty traders from taxation in the state.
