The Niger State Government has reiterated its determination to partner with transport unions and regulatory agencies to improve safety, orderliness, and revenue generation through freight and haulage sector in the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman, made the pledge during a stakeholders’ engagement meeting held at the SSG’s office in Minna, which brought together representatives of the National Freight Haulers Association (NFHA), Niger State Chapter, government institutions and security agencies.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Dr. Mohammed Makusidi, commended the NFHA for uniting freight operators under a nationally recognized framework and expressed readiness to partner with associations to enhance efficiency, security, and transparency in the haulage industry.
The National Chairman of the NFHA, Chief Jackson Malam Bent represented by the National Organizing Secretary Alhaji Aminu Galadima presented a comprehensive report, and outlined the association’s objectives and recent initiatives, noting that the NFHA boasts over four million members nationwide across the six geopolitical zones.
