Niger Gov’t reiterates commitment on impacted projects

The Niger State government has reiterated its commitment to revitalise all decayed public infrastructure despite paucity of funds available to the state.
The Commissioner of works, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe made the disclosure while interacting with the State government Media Strategy and Communication Committee in his office yesterday in Minna the state capital.
He said that the government of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has embarked on several projects ranging from construction, renovation, remodeling which is at various levels of completion to ensure that Nigerlites benefitted from his dividend of democracy.
Balarabe explained the need of state government to intervene in many federal roads in the state so as to ameliorate the plight of motorists who ply the roads which include Minna Suleja road dualization to the sum of N3 billion while about N1 billion was expended on same road on rehabilitation.
He hinted that these administration would not embarked on white elephant projects or its completion from the immediate past government but those projects that has direct impact on the lives of the citizens.
The commissioner emphasized that two local governments of Agwara and Bangi had been connected to national grid and will soon be commission which were abandoned since the inception of the state, added that the projects has been completed.
He further disclosed that the present government has procured over 300 assorted transformers and distributed to various communities in the state to boast their economic base and enhanced leaving.
Balarabe hinted that the construction of Erena road from the bridge to the town is on the pipeline hence to ease their transportation while some of projects and interventions to cut across water, electrification, roads, public institutions education, health as well as youths and women empowerment.
