Niger State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a Turkish company DIREKCI GROUP in partnership with Niger Foods on the development of Soya Farm in the state.
The signing of MOU took place at the council chamber after the weekly
council meeting in government house Minna.
Governor Umar Muhammad Bago explained that the state has the capacity to employee one million youths in the Agro City.
Chairman, Niger Foods Sammy Adigun stated that the negotiation with
DIREKCI GROUP started about six months ago also stating that the
company has been in Nigeria for seventh years making it easy to work
with them, where they set up Green houses in Jigawa and Abuja.
He said Five hundred thousand in phase one Chicken Production poultry and Egg Production Facility complete with feed Mills; nine million dollars and two million in phase two with a total of two point
five million chicken production facility among other.
Speaking during the Interface Session with the National Women Mediators Network in Kaduna, yesterday, the Director of Programs, Mr. Salaudeen Hashim, said that the objective of the workshop is to equip the participants with basic ADR techniques and skills that can be applied in real-world conflict resolution scenarios.
According to him, several methods have been tried in tackling conflict at various levels, but ADR techniques remain the best, hence the need to introduce the participants to the different “doors” of the Kaduna State Multi-Door Courthouse (KDMD) ADR Center.
He opined that over time, women have proved to be more skillful and effective in peacebuilding due to the roles they play in society, which is why the Foundious fields and organizations to be trained.
