Niger State government has revealed that it will establish a fruit market in Minna to boost the agro industry and attain socio-economic growth as well as reduce poverty in both rural and urban areas.
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago stated this when he received members of Niger State Fruit Sellers Association at the Government House Minna.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the agriculture, explaining that the fruit market will help in driving the agricultural revolution of the State, while appreciating the association for the gesture of giving him three thousand Orange seedlings to be planted in his farm saying, the seedlings will go a long way in boosting economic growth and development of the state.
The governor used the medium to emphasize the need for people to venture into farming business as a major source of income.
