Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger state Correspondent Chapel mourned the death of its elder, Mr. Akin Alofetekun of The Guardian Newspapers who died at 64 years on Tuesday 22nd September, 2020 after a protracted illness .
This was contained in a statement issued by the chapel chairman Yakubu Mustapha Bina and Secretary Dan O. Atori, saying that, until his death, he worked diligently with various media organisations which include, The Sketch, Daily Times, The Sun.
“We will miss the Sexagenarian invaluable contributions to journalism in the Chapel, his usual mentoring and advice to the younger ones.”
