Stakeholders of Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Wushishi local government has endorsed former Niger State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Iliya Garba for State House of Assembly seat representing Wushishi constituency.
Presenting Iliya Garba to the delegates and other party faithful at the party Secretariat, the PDP council Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Maigari endorsed the aspiration, urging the delegates to be upright as the party prepares to hold its primary election.
He said the delegates should be sincere in bringing out the best and acceptable candidate that will take the Constituency to the enviable destination.
In his address, Comrade Iliya Garba told the party supporters that he came into the race to contribute to the upliftment of the Constituency through youth and women empowerment, adding that he will not compromise in improving their wellbeing through equal representation.
He commended the party men and women for their loyalty to PDP for the past seven years.
He said their contributions spurred his decision to vie under the umbrella of the party.
The former NUJ Chairman assured that he would galvanized his journalistic experience to propel Wushishi Constituency to selfless representation at the House of Assembly.
