Niger PDP working committee assures aspirants of level playing ground

The Niger State working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of its Chairman, Umar Musa Ma’ali has reiterated the determination of the party to allow level playing ground for all aspirants in the state.

The party’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Mohammad Saba made the disclosure in Minna yesterday while speaking to journalists in reaction to insinuations of given much favour to some preferred aspirants in some quarters, saying that the party will give its maximum support to all aspirants.

Saba said “because at the end we need the support of all aspirants and their supporters for the success of the party’s flag bearer (candidate) in the general elections”.

“At this stage of preparation of the primaries, all aspirants are equal in the eyes of the party and we will allow level playing ground for an acceptable candidate to emerge amongst them”.

According to him, the party therefore called on all aspirants and their supporters to give their support to whoever emerges at the primaries as the PDP is a big umbrella that can accommodate all of them.

He added that all the aspirants are the party babies and will be given proper recognition, fairness as guided in the party’s constitution without been bias.

He advised the aspirants and party loyalists to accept the outcome of the primaries with good faith in the spirit of sportsmanship.
