The Niger State police command yesterday paraded 12 suspected criminals arrested at different black spots in Minna and environs assured to keep the state safe for all by providing adequate security for lives and properties.
The command Police Public relations Officer PPRO, S P Abigail Unaeze while addressing journalists at the headquarters said that five of the suspects were arrested for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.
Unaeze noted that six of them were also arrested at Kaffin Tela and Sabon Titi areas with exhibits that includes: 86 wraps of Indian hemp, 164 MG tablets, 11 Dizapam, One packet of big Bond and matches box.
She further disclosed that one Abubakar Suleiman from Kogi and three others at large was arrested in Chanchaga area in Minna conspired and took his father in law by one Abdullahi Bala Sambo in a pretext to take care of the old sick man, while the suspect was arrested with a bag containing 88 bundles of fake US Dollar notes ($8,800) about N4 million.
Meanwhile, following a distress call a gang of five armed robbers operating at Bosso phase 2 area hence Police swung into action as a result the robbers fled and abandoned a bag containing one AK 47 rifle with 25 rounds of 7.62 x 39 mm live ammunitions and a mask, noting that all the cases are under investigation for prosecution.
