Niger Private varsity refunds best student entire tuition fees

Newgate University Minna, has refunded the entire tuition fees from 100-400 level to the institution’s best graduating student, Maude Hauwa Kulu, who got first class honours from the Department of Public Health.
The Chancellor, Judge Kaigama (SAN), disclosed this during the 2025 maiden graduation of the first private university established in May 2022 in Minna, Niger state capital.
According to him, the beneficiary was also awarded automatic employment and admission if she chooses to read further for exhibiting good character, discipline, community service and best in academy.
The Pro- Chancellor and chairman governing council who is also the Founder of the Newgate University, Dr. Hassan Nuhu has called on higher institutions to raise job creators and not job seekers if Nigeria must get it right economically.
According to him “true to our name, Newgate stands as a gateway to new opportunities, a cradle where ideas are born, nurtured and transformed, the
University has awarded over 400 scholarships.”
