Niger RAAMP embarks on over N7b rural road construction

Niger State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project ( NIGER RAAMP) has awarded contract worth over 7 billion naira for the rehabilitation and construction of over sixty seven kilometers of rural road across the state.
This was contained in a statement by the Director General of Niger RAAMP Ambassador Nmaa Ahmed in Minna.
He said the contract which was awarded through a competitive bidding process underscored RAAMP’s commitment to improving access and fostering agricultural growth in alignment with the state governments new Niger agenda.
Nmaa Ahmed noted that the rehabilitation of the rural roads marked a pivotal moment in their efforts to connect rural communities and facilitates better market access for agricultural produce, by enhancing transportation efficiency, stimulate economic activities , as well as improve the livelihood of rural dwellers.
The State project coordinator Engineer Ibrahim Dada said the work would commence with immediate effect and will cover strategic rural routs across the state including fifty one kilometer Gulu – Evuti – Lambata road and sixteen kilometer Maikunkele – Jangaru – Gidan Mangoro road.
