Niger Tornadoes FC wishes to address the recent circulation of misleading images purporting to show the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna in a state of disrepair. We categorically state that these images are unfounded and do not accurately reflect the current condition of our home ground.
It is worth noting that the stadium underwent recent renovations, including meticulous work on the pitch, to ensure compliance with league standards. Following a thorough inspection, the stadium was granted approval to host NPFL matches, a testament to its readiness and quality.
We believe that the dissemination of these images is a calculated attempt to undermine our team’s ability to host matches at our home ground, and we urge fans and the general public to disregard this misinformation. We extend our gratitude to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for their due diligence and consideration in allowing us to continue hosting matches at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.
Attached are pictures of the stadium taken earlier today before an NPFL game against Ikorodu City.
