The commissioner, Niger state ministry of works and Infrastructural Development, Sulemain Umar has reassured the entire staff of the ministry on improved welfare package and better working environment to enhance effective service delivery.
He gave the assurance while addressing the staff of the ministry at the conference hall of the ministry.
Sulemain Umar urged the staff to embrace teamwork as it will enable them to get the work done faster and better. “When you all work together, you will be able to achieve the mandate of the ministry seamlessly.”
The commissioner further sought the support and cooperation of the staff to enable him to attain the success of the ministry as he can not do it alone.
He added that he would run an open door policy to enable all staff to make their contributions as critical stakeholders, warning the staff that his leadership would not tolerate ineptitude and unprofessional conducts.
According to the commissioner, “it’s a new dawn at the ministry, and the urban renewal programme of Mr Governor is targeted at changing the narratives of state in terms of infrastructure like it has never witnessed since the creation of the state in 1976.
In his remarks, the permanent secretary of the ministry QS Hassan Baba-Etsu expressed delight in having Alhaji sulemain Umar as the commissioner of the ministry.
He described the commissioner as a man of integrity, dedication and commitment.
