Nigeria Contingent arrives Uzbekistan for 2021 World Weightlifting Championship

Nigerian contingent have arrived Tashkent, Uzbekistan, venue of the 2021 World Weightlifting Championship staring tomorrow.

The championship which serves as 2022 Commonwealth Games qualifier will start from tomorrow, Tuesday, December 7th through 17th, 2021. 

The 10 Nigerian contingent arrived Tashkent by 2am on Sunday morning.

The team on arrival proceeded to their hotel,  Hotel Uzbekistan where they will camp for the championship.

The Hotel Uzbekistan is located just 100 metres from Amir Temur square in Tashkent and offers a high level of service and security.

Nigeria contingent is made up of seven lifters, two coaches and a physio, Abdulsalam Shuaibu kayode.
