Nigeria, Indonesia agree to reinforce economic ties

Nigerian government has reached a bilateral agreement with the Indonesia government to reinforce the economic activities between both countries.
This agreement was reached by the vice president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the Indonesian counterpart, Jusuf Kalla on Tuesday on economic cooperation between both countries, sidelining the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Beneficial Ownership Transparency Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Osinbajo said Nigeria is open for business and more investment and recalled the partnership reached with members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce on Monday.
“We are looking forward to more Indonesian investments especially in the manufacturing sector in Nigeria, trying to exploit our local raw materials.”
He also informed the Indonesia counterpart that the Muhammadu Buhari administration had implemented transformation that had made the Nigerian business environment a more favourable environment.
The Indonesian Vice President, Jusuf Kalla expressed his country’s readiness for more economic activities with African countries especially Nigeria, on areas of agriculture and agro-allied sector including oil research and production.
