Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District of Benue State, Sen. Abba Moro said Nigeria is suffering from serious epilepsy that only the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, can cure.
Sen. Moro stated this yesterday in Otukpo local government area during a defection ceremony of All Progressives Congress, APC, members to the PDP.
He said the PDP remains the bastion of hope for Nigeria which accounts for the large follwership the party continues to enjoy.
“We are standing on the threshold of victory as those who are decamping have seen that PDP is the hope of Nigerians. Better days are coming for Nigerians. While the other party do not have a national chairman, PDP has one. PDP will rescue Nigeria from epilepsy that it is sufferring”, the erstwhile Minister of Interior said.
Deputy Governor of Benue State who is a Governorship of the party for 2023 Engr. Benson Abounu charged PDP faithful to work hard and bring the remnants of APC to the party.
State Chairman PDP John Ngbede reiterated that the party will remain solidly behind the National chairman Sen. Iyorchia Ayu and the governor Samuel Ortom to revive the party.
The main decampe Alex Ogbe who is also, eying House of Representatives seat for Otukpo/Ohimini said his sojourn in APC was like the slavery years in Egypt, boasting that he has come into PDP to take his people to a land of milk and honey.
Former Senate President Sen. David Mark extolled Ayu as a man who upholds justice and equity at all times.
