The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has declared that Nigeria is undergoing a national rebirth and that corrupt leaders will soon be exposed.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, the National Deputy President of PFN, Archbishop JohnPraise Daniel, announced a 40-day fasting and prayer campaign ahead of the organisation’s 18th Biennial Conference.

Themed “The Rebirth of a Great Nation: Nigeria is Great,” the conference is scheduled to take place from 11 to 14 February at the Dunamis Glory Dome in Abuja.

Archbishop Daniel emphasised the urgent need for economic recovery, improved security, and national renewal, stating that Nigeria must transition from economic dependence to productivity.

“The expectations of the righteous will not be cut short. Our nation is on the verge of transformation,” he said.

He further stressed that the Church, as the conscience of the nation, is committed to eradicating corruption, advocating for zero tolerance towards dishonest practices.

Daniel also called for policies that promote entrepreneurship, especially for young graduates, warning that government alone cannot provide jobs for all Nigerians.

“Our leaders must foster an economy where businesses can thrive. The current economic hardship and increasing migration of Nigerians abroad underscore the urgency of reform,” he added.

On security, he noted that improving the safety of citizens would help stabilise food prices and ease economic burdens across the country.

Dr. Victor Ogunkanmi, Co-chairman of the Conference’s Central Working Committee, reiterated PFN’s commitment to exposing dishonest leaders.

“Corrupt individuals will be exposed, and the people will demand honest and capable leaders. Nigeria must be governed by men and women of integrity, regardless of tribe or region,” he said.

Ogunkanmi clarified that while the PFN does not endorse political candidates, it remains committed to praying for righteous leadership at all levels of government.

Referencing Isaiah 66:8, he said the conference’s theme symbolises Nigeria’s turning point, highlighting the need for divine intervention in achieving lasting transformation.

The PFN leadership confirmed that the 18th Biennial Conference will feature several key meetings, including sessions for the PFN National Executive and Advisory Councils, a General Assembly on 12 February, and an evening rally.
