The Managing Director and Chief Executive of Trepole Well Services Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Aminu Aliyu Abubakar has expressed optimism that despite the allegation of corruption and counter allegation rocking the oil and gas sector, the sector has a brighter future for Nigeria.

Abubakar who made this statement in an interview with newsmen at his country home Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi state was optimistic that Nigeria would overcome the corruption challenges facing the oil sector of the economy.

He however, called on stakeholders in the petroleum industry to be above board in all their activities by allowing honesty and transparency to be paramount in the affairs of oil and gas sector.

The oil and gas business mogul who was in his country home to receive the traditional title of Lamidon Nayelwa of Gwandu Emirate in Kebbi state, called on Nigerians to support the Federal government’s effort at bringing the menace of corruption to its barest minimum.

On the part of the federal government, the monarch urged government to leave no stone unturned by applying necessary punitive measures to any Nigerian involved in any kind of corruption whether at the oil industry or any other sector of the nation’s economy.
