Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, with support from the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force, have neutralised several Boko Haram commanders during coordinated airstrikes in Borno State, security sources said.
The operations were carried out in the Bama Local Government Area on December 25, 2025, according to a report by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his verified X account.
Quoting military sources, Makama said at least 10 Boko Haram fighters were killed in the initial airstrike. Those identified include Abul Kaka, Ibn Mu’azu, Abu Muhammad, Ba Alhaji, Bakura, Modu, Abu Hassan, Kaka Alai, Abba Yakariye and Bamusa.
Another insurgent, identified simply as Ubaida, reportedly sustained serious injuries during the strike.
The sources added that a follow-up operation by Nigerian Air Force assets resulted in the killing of three additional terrorists.
The military has yet to issue an official statement on the operation as investigations and assessments continue.
