NIPOST introduces 12 new products

The Postmaster General of the Federation/CEO, Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi, has said Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), is moving from a mono-product organization that only sells stamps and EMS services to a multi-products provider organization that will provide more services that are technology based.
He stated this while addressing staff of the organization in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, for decades NIPOST has remained stagnant because it has not keyed into the new technological world and that is why the new management under his supervision is introducing 12 new products.
Barrister Adegbuyi added that the 12 new products that will take it to the new level include: International Postal Service (IPS), Electronic Money Order, Electronic Stamp, Address Verification, Agency Banking based on collaboration with Bank of Agriculture (BoA), Post Youth
Engagement Strategy and Card Services.
He said that out of the twelve, “we will start with six but we are doing what is call proof of concept, because it depends on technology and we have to ensure that all our processes and technology platforms are robust.”
The Postmaster General added that another product called Post Outreach is a scheme on NIPOST new initiative is design to saturate the length and breadth of Nigeria with Postal offices and Outlets will be introduced.
