The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has raised alarm over an ongoing recruitment exercise being circulated on its behalf by fraudsters.
In a press statement made available and signed by the agency’s spokesperson, Uwa Suleiman, the purported vacancy advertorial is a scam and should be disregarded.
Uwa said that the attention of the NITDA has “been drawn to a vacancy advertisement circulating the internet purportedly put out by the Agency.
“The advertisement is a supposed call by the Agency for applications into its 2018/2019 recruitment exercise.
“This is to notify the general public that NITDA has not advertised any vacancies in any medium and has not contracted any third party to act on its behalf in that regard,” he added.
The spokesperson therefore urged “the general public to disregard any such propaganda as they are false and misleading.
As the Federal government Agency responsible for regulating, developing and implementing the national IT Policy, we reiterate our commitment towards ensuring that we fulfill our mandate with utmost professionalism and patriotism” he said.
