The leadership of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has vowed to resist any attempt by politicians to hoodwink its members nationwide into being partisan ahead of next Saturday Governorship election in Osun.

It clarified that PFN has neither been part of any political league nor anointed any candidate for the election and advised contenders in the election be committed to issue-based campaigns devoid of blackmail or name-dropping by promoting ethnic and religious harmony.

A statement by Raphael Okhiria, Media aide to President of PFN, Reverend Felix Omobude, read we are “calling on all Christians in Nigeria to freely vote the candidates of their choice because the PFN and its leadership have no preferred candidates,”.

“We have a duty to remain neutral in all partisan political activities whether at local, state or federal levels…The PFN and its members are non–partisan and as such should not be dragged into politics directly or indirectly,” the statement said.
