No compromise on Abuja development, group hits back at Wike’s critics

The Arewa Youth Assembly has cautioned against distracting the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, emphasizing that there is no compromise on Abuja’s development.
The youth Assembly particularly cautioned Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi to stop politicizing every situation at the International Conference Centre (ICC), stating that the center belongs to Nigeria as a country.
The group insists that there’s a need for the aforementioned parties to cease distracting the Honourable Minister and allow him to focus on fulfilling the promise he made to Nigerians regarding the development of the Federal Capital Territory, in accordance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
The Assembly’s publicity secretary, Ali Muhammed, said, “Ultimatum or no ultimatum, the development of Abuja remains sacrosanct.”
According to him, “if Northern Elders truly intervened as claimed, it means they are fully aware of the importance and are fully cognizant of Wike’s desire to develop Abuja and return it to its original master plan.
“Besides, the time for politics is over, as clearly stated by the president; it’s now time for governance.
“It doesn’t matter if Senator Abubakar Ahmad Mo’Allahyidi is a chieftain of the APC or not; it’s not a party affair. All that matters is to actualize the promises of the renewed hope agenda.”
The statement further reads: “Even if it is a party issue, what has been the contribution of Senator Abubakar Ahmad Mo’Allahyidi to the election of President Tinubu? What has he contributed to the APC?
“As a Senator who lost re-election, what important bills has he passed while in the Senate? What achievements has he brought to his constituents? Zero development, missed representation.
“It seems from all the statements this group and its sponsors are making, they are aiming to attack the President. Be bold enough to reveal your intentions and plans and stop hiding behind a mask.
“For Comrade Ali Abacha, who is looking for relevance and cheap publicity, the one-time presidential aspirant turned errand boy, a word of advice to you, your sponsors, and co-travelers.
“The ICC is gone and is gone for good. No amount of ultimatums can bring it back. If you desire to manage it back, please re-apply through the proper channel and pass the scrutiny to earn it back or not. It’s not a family property that can be inherited; its management is earned. Go earn it and stop crying like a baby.
“The stance of today with respect to ICC remains unchanged in two weeks. Senator Abubakar Ahmad MoAllahyidi should go and look for work and stop constituting a nuisance to the work ongoing in Abuja.”
