The Nasarawa state Director General of pension Board Sulaiman Nagogo has declared that Governor Abdullahi Sule has been paying 100 percent monthly pension to retirees in the state, as part of his commitment towards improving their living standards as senior citizens of the state.
Sulaiman who stated this while speaking to newsmen in Lafia Friday, since governor Sule took over the mantle of leadership of the state in 2019, there was no more percentage payment.
“This is because of the love, passion, respect , kindness and to make life better for retirees in the state. They have worked meritoriously for their father land.
“ That is why the governor is up to date in making it possible to ameliorate their sufferings and to make life comfortable for their families” DG added.
He said that, the governor has achieved tremendously in paying pensioners in the state, calling on the senior citizens in the state to give him the desire support to enable his administration succeed in all facets.
“As the DG of the Board. I will work assiduously as a point of duty towards ensuring that whoever that served the state meritoriously and after being screened shall be paid his gratuity and monthly pension irrespective of colour, tribe or religion”, Nagogo maintained
The DG further assured that governor Sule has ensured that the backlog of retired permanent secretaries and Chief executive officers of Agencies should be paid which screening have been conducted and payment of their gratuities, which is in millions shall soon commence.
He applauded the governor for his commitment and efforts in supporting the Board in carrying out its responsibilities in a transparent and efficient service delivering to humanity.
