The National Population Commission (NPC) in Gombe state have started birth and death attestation  sensitization  registration, with a view of enlighten the public to key into the exercise.

Federal Commissioner of the NPC in Gombe, Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Danburam made this known while briefing Journalists on the  outcome of the exercise on Thursday.

He said the attestation registration of the exercise is mandatory for members of  public, who are 18 years and above to register.

The Commissioner also explained that the commission is ready to carryout it’s e-birth and death registration across the 11 local government areas.

According to him, it’s necessary to have records of persons who have passed on to enable the deceased family have access to their benefits without hindrance.

He said following the directive given by the first lady Sen. Remi Tinubu, who directed all NPC offices  in the country should carryout the exercise, said the exercise should ensure it reach all the local government areas of the state.

Hon. Danburam who highlighted some of the components regarding to the registration said the registration will be a continue exercise.

He encouraged parents to do the needful by allowing their wards to register to avoid any misfortunes in the future.

According to him, the commission had already strategies it’s plans to meet with Emirs and Chiefs including the Religious bodies  concerning the attestation registration for the exercise.

He said no fewer than 96 centres were billed for the registration exercise noting that the commission has a vital role to play to support the government.

The Commissioner however l, drawn the attention of the public that the commission will  extend the registration exercise to Emirate council’s.
