NPFL: Akwa United release 11 Players

Ahead of 2021/2022 Nigeria professional football league season,Akwa United have released eleven players to look elsewhere for their playing careers.
Newly crowned champion Akwa United have announced the list of the released players from the team.
The Promise Keepers emerged as the champions of the league for the very first time in their history in a fashionable style with amazing performance.
The club listed out 11 names of players released and started recruiting a new set of players ahead of their campaign in the local and continental scenes.
Prominent on the list was Etim Mattew, Ikechukwu Nwani, Sadiq Abbas, Bassey Akpan.
Others are; David Essien, Inemesit Sunday, Kojo Dadzie, Eko Barine, Ekemini Ukoebe, Hamisu Saleh and Aliyu Abubakar. They have been told to look elsewhere for continuation of their careers.
Akwa United will begin their assignment in the continent against CR Belouzidad of Algeria in September.
