The National Sports Commission, NSC, has selected seasoned Nigerian Sports experts from across the globe to serve as members of its Diaspora Talent Discovery Committee which is chaired by UK based Dr Tunde Adelakun.
Dr Adelakun who had previously worked with the Nigerian Super eagles and also the Benin Republic National team is an astute Sports administrator who was appointed to serve as the Chairman of the Diaspora Committee earlier this year by the commission.
The Commission has now announced the complete membership of the committee who are individuals with an impressive Diaspora base, connection and influence.
Members of the Committee include Colin udoh- a seasoned sports journalist, Olusoji Fasuba – a retired Nigeria Track and field athlete, Marilyn Okoro- another Nigerian retired athlete, Olufunke Oshonaike- Nigeria Table Tennis legend and Seyi Olofinjana- retired Super Eagles star.
Other members of the committee also include; Carl Ikeme- former Nigerian goalkeeper, Ahmed Muhammed – founder of You to You Sports Charity in the UK , Jordan Joel- UK based Taekwondo star, Mr Oyilei Orode, Adewale Ajayi- Canada based journalist and Clement Nwakpa, the Media Officer of the Committee.
Mrs Abigail Marshall Katung will serve as the first Vice Chairman, David Omigie will serve as second Vice Chairman and Former D’Tigress Captain Sarah Ogoke,OON, is the Committee’s third Vice Chairman.
