NSCDC commiserates with Police over killing of men by bandits

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara State Command, Sani Mustapha expressed grief and sadness over the gruesome killing of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force in the state by suspected brigands.
Commandant Sani Mustapha disclosed this during a condolence visit to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Bunu on Thursday at the Police State Headquarters Gusau.
Commandant Sani Mustapha who prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed, has commended the gallantry of the slain officers and men, saying that though the officers have paid the supreme price but security operatives will never be detered by the cowardice display of these hoodlums who sniff lives out of innocent citizens at will.
The Commandant who conveyed the message of condolence of the Corps to the Commissioner of Police, encouraged the CP to continue his good works in the state.
In his response, CP Muhammad Bunu expressed happiness for the condolence visit by the Corps, reiterating that, it is unfortunate that these gallant officers have to pay the supreme price.
He however averred that the police will never relent in carrying out its statutory responsibilities.
