Following the drive to beef up security across the Federation, the NSCDC’s Chief Executive, Dr. Ade Abodurin has distributed Hilux and surveillance vehicles to the state commands as part of the Phase I distribution of equipment.

The Corps earlier in April distributed five Hilux vehicles to the five units of the Joint Task Force (JTF) formation in Niger-Delta to enhance effective operation of the Task Force.

This distribution to the commands, is to enable the operatives carry out the Corps mandate without compromise especially, as it involves the protection of critical infrastructures of government and national assets such as the oil and gas sector, telecommunication, power, transport among others.

While issuing out the vehicles to states like Rivers, Benue, Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Taraba, Yobe, Sokoto, Borno, Ekiti, FCT among others, the Commandant General counseled the recipients to use the vehicles for the purpose in which it is meant for.

He also encouraged them to take the vehicles received to their respective governors for blessing.
