NSCDC warns FCT residents against vandalism, trouble making

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSDC, FCT Command has warned residents to desist from tampering with public property and reiterated its readiness to deal ruthlessly with trouble makers, armed robbers and those who vandalize critical public infrastructure.
Speaking to our correspondent in his office yesterday, the FCT NSCDC Commandant, Patrick Ukpan also advised his personnel to desist from any acts capable of bringing the image of NSDC to disrepute.
Ukpan disclosed that his command in collaboration with the other sister security agencies is working hard to ensure security of lives and property in the territory.
According to him, “over 3000 personnel were deployed to every nooks and crannies of the FCT adding that they have identified some flashpoints considered notorious and volatile by many within their jurisdiction and where properly manned’.
While assuring all FCT residents of their continued safety, he urged everyone to cooperate with his personnel along with other security agencies in order to ensure Violence-free FCT where peace will reign like king.
It would be recalled that the FCT Command under Commandant Ukpan had made several arrest of some notorious vandals in recent times.
He used the opportunity to warn criminals still hiding in some parts of the FCT to look for legitimate means of livelihood or be prepared to face the long arms of the law.
He finally expressed pleasure in the manner which his personnel worked and conducted themselves during and after the last Sallah celebration in the FCT.
Ukpan further urge everybody in the territory to remain law abiding and cooperate with security agencies as well as be willing to give credible information that could help them arrest criminals and criminally minded persons.
