The Northern Stakeholders Consultative Forum (NSCF) has added its voice to the growing chorus calling for the arrest of the leaders of the “Kyari Must Go Now” group, who have issued threats to disrupt Nigeria’s economic activities by occupying vital national assets and engaging in public indecency.

The spokesperson for the forum ,Comr Danjuma Paul, expressed grave concern regarding these threats and emphasized the need for swift action against the responsible individuals.

He emphasized that their motivations must be thoroughly investigated to prevent any further threats to national security and economic progress.

Paul also questioned the authenticity of the petition submitted against Kyari by the group, suggesting that it may have been orchestrated by individuals with ulterior motives and who may not have the best interests of the NNPCL GCEO at heart.

“These individuals, who may have been paid, have recommended a Forensic Audit of the Fuel Subsidy regime spanning the last 8 years.

In an attempt to appear legitimate, this obscure coalition claimed to support President Bola Tinubu and threatened to mobilize a one million youth march if Kyari was not removed from his position as the GMD of NNPC,” Paul stated.

He further characterized these individuals as posing a serious national security threat and potential saboteurs of the Tinubu administration.

“Some of them claim to be lawyers but have vowed to disrupt critical national economic assets such as the East-West Road, Benin-Ore Road, Abuja-Lokoja Road, and Asaba-Onitsha Road.

They are also mobilizing 500 youths to shut down the NNPC Towers in Abuja. Such disruptions can directly or indirectly lead to fuel shortages, resulting in violence and endangering national stability, foreign investments, and regional integration, ultimately hampering economic growth and progress,” he emphasized.

Paul underscored the significant social and economic harm that could result from these actions: “Blocking transportation routes and disrupting the oil industry would undermine our country’s progress toward social unity through regional integration, as well as impact foreign investment.”

In conclusion, he called upon law enforcement officials to take immediate action against those individuals who have endorsed this senseless petition, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of operations and safeguarding the nation’s interests and the safety and well-being of all Nigerians.

Paul also recognized the achievements of the NNPC under Mele Kyari’s leadership, highlighting the commitment to developing the energy sector and improving the economy.

He expressed confidence that with continued growth and investment, the corporation would achieve even greater milestones in the future.
