All Northeast contingents to zonal elimination competition for the 20th National Sports Festival scheduled for Edo has arrived Damaturu Sports Council under the security escort facilitated by Borno State Government sound and safe.
According to a press release from Ahmed Kagana Amshi, Yobe state SWAN chairman, the State teams to zonal elimination competition include Adamawa, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe team while Bauchi State team couldn’t make it to the events.
The Director of Sports Yobe Sports Council Dr. Abdulraham Ago while welcoming the States teams at the council expressed appreciation for the successful and smooth hosting of the events as well as the performances of Yobe team in particular.
He maintained that the council is ever ready to support the athletes to the national festival scheduled for Edo State.
He used the opportunity and commends the Yobe State Government for the usual supports and encouragements the council and the Sports Ministry is enjoying all this while assuring that the Yobe team will continue to make the State proud.
