The Executive Secretary National Senior Secondary Education
Commission (NSSEC) Dr. Benjamin Abakpa has appealed to the Development Partners to collaborate with the Commission in addressing challenges confronting the Senior Secondary Education in Nigeria.
He made this known when group of Development Partners paid a working visit to his office in Abuja, to ascertain how the Commission is
set in repositioning the Senior Secondary Education in the Country and also to seek ways of collaboration with NSSEC.
According to him, accessing
NSSEC fund is not a goldmine, rather it is a commitment towards raising the standard of the Senior Secondary Education in the country.
Dr Abakpa emphasized on the Commiss ion’s commitment in building an accurate data base for all the Senior Secondary Schools across theCountry for effective planning, learning, and proper disbursement of the NSSEC fund.
He further said that, there are stated guidelines to access the NSSECfund for the Federal, State, Private and Missionary Schools and calledon all to put the right measures in place so as to meet the stated criteria needed to access the initial fund to meet some specific needs in he Senior Secondary Education.
