The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Kaduna Network Centre has honored His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani (CON), with the Best Performing Governor Award. This accolade recognizes his dedication to promoting peace, enhancing security, and fostering inclusive leadership throughout Kaduna State.
Governor Sani was represented by the Honourable Commissioner of Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, who received the award on his behalf during the station’s 2025 Customers and Awards Night, held at the NAF Club in Kaduna.
The event was chaired by Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, PhD, and attended by distinguished figures including Senator Shehu Sani, several members of the National Assembly, Prof. Idris Bugaje, key media executives, and other notable stakeholders.
In his remarks, the Commissioner expressed deep appreciation to the NTA Kaduna Network Centre for the recognition. He emphasized that Governor Sani’s inclusive leadership model is yielding significant and measurable gains across the state.
Among the achievements he highlighted were the reopening of over 500,000 hectares of farmland, the revival of major markets in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, and Chikun, the construction and rehabilitation of more than 750 kilometers of roads, and the distribution of 900 trucks of fertilizer to over 200,000 farmers. He also noted that schools, health facilities, and farmlands previously closed due to insecurity have now resumed operations, showcasing the tangible impact of the Governor’s peace strategy.
Earlier, NTA Zonal Director Ishaq Abbas commended Governor Sani for stabilizing the state and praised the innovations introduced by the NTA Director General, which have enhanced the station’s operations and public engagement.
The Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, called for national unity and responsible information management. He emphasized the need to combat misinformation on new media platforms while urging conventional media to uphold neutrality and professionalism.
Governor Uba Sani’s peace-driven reforms and their visible, community-level impact were the highlights of the awards night, earning him widespread recognition from media leaders and stakeholders.
