Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to human capital development is beginning to yield results, as evidenced by the accomplishments of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic at the 2025 Committee of Deans of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology (COMPODET) competition.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi announced that Mr. Luka Ado, a student of the institution, won in the National Diploma category at the 2025 edition of COMPODET.
He explained that COMPODET, which is endorsed by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), is an annual competition.
Engr. Abdullahi further elaborated that the top candidates in both the National and Higher National Diploma categories are selected by experts following their presentations.
“Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic has made Kaduna State proud, as Mr. Ado’s project, titled ‘Fabrication and Testing of Waste Oil Stove,’ was recognized as the best in the National Diploma category,” he stated.
According to the Rector, Mr. Ado’s project “leverages waste-to-energy technology to provide affordable and sustainable cooking solutions, making a timely contribution to environmental conservation and alternative energy utilization.”
Engr. Abdullahi noted that Mr. Ado received his certificate on July 14, 2025, describing it as a testament to the student’s ingenuity, dedication, and the high standard of training provided by the Polytechnic.
He recalled that Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic achieved a similar success last year when its Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering students secured third place in the Higher National Diploma and National Diploma categories, respectively.
The Rector praised Governor Uba Sani for fostering an environment conducive to student achievement at Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, adding that the institution is becoming a benchmark in technical and technology education
