The Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ North West Zone has advocated for enactment of laws on fake news to address present day realities of the menace.
This was contained in a communique issued after one-day Roundtable/zonal meeting organised by the NUJ Northwest Zone in collaboration with Kaduna State Council on Fake News.
The communique signed by Vice President Northwest Zone of the Union, Comrade Yusuf Idris also called for the strengthening of the laws of defamation and libel.
