NUJ Kaduna Council mourns late Assistant Secretary

Following the demise of one of the committed and dedicated members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State, Comrade Jacob Haruna Zango, the leadership of the union in the state has declared a three-month mourning period from Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st August 2024 for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
In a statement signed and issued yesterday by the Council Chairman, Comrade Asmau Yawo Halilu, and the Secretary, Comrade Gambo Santos Sanga, the Council expressed dismay over the death of Comrade Jacob Haruna Zango, describing it as devastating.
The statement stated that it is a huge loss to the council and the union, considering his invaluable sacrifices for the growth and development of the NUJ at both state and national levels.
The statement described the late Zango as a quintessential gentleman who stood for the truth, equity, justice, and fair play among practicing Journalists.
