NUJ lauds el Rufai’s quest for quality education

Nigeria Union of Journalists kaduna state Council has welcomed kaduna state government quest for quality education.
The Council stated this in a communiqué issued after it’s congress held at the secretariat.
The communiqué signed by the Council Secretary Dauda Doka however expresses concern over the retrenchment of 21,000 primary school teachers, 4,000 local government employees as well as hundreds in the State owned tertiary institutions and therefore advised the government to obey the court order in that regard.
The Congress also expressed satisfaction with the gradual improvement on the relationship between the Council and Kaduna state government and expressed the hope for better in the New Year
The communiqué announced the dissolution of all committees and the reconstitution of that of the welfare and the co-opting of two ex-officio members into the state excos.
Other highlights at the congress include briefs from various chapels and the submission of report on the reconciliation committee• and deliberations on the state of governance in Kaduna State.
The council commended the council chairman for his achievements as well as some private media organizations that are up to date in the payment of workers’ salaries, especially, Nagarta Radio.
