The management committee has slated Gombe state as host of its forthcoming general congress with about 104 affiliated organisations considered eligible for the contest.
“As former deputy president of NYCN Murtala and I were over aged but we were called as experienced council members to organize election under six months with funds released to conduct the process but unfortunately the incumbent president thwarted the process.
“The affiliated organization was suspended because it took the Council to court without exploring other internal mechanism especially without getting approval from its Board of Trustees.
“A management meeting of the NYCN was summoned following a resolve by the ministry and a vote of no confidence of the National Transition Committee (NTC).
“The vote of no confidence on Gamji was rectified to give way for credible elections and as former Deputy I was given 11 days to complete the process of conducting the elections,” he explained.
Enujeko who lamented that the council has been mired by the several situations it underwent, assured of conducting a free and fair congress to enable Nigerian youths move forward.
“I take over to complete the process which has commenced since January this year and I promise to conduct the elections in Gombe state which has been unanimously adopted and agreed as the host state of the congress within the 11 days period as President of the council,” he said.
