The monarch acknowledged the military’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Edo State and suggested that some of the operations conducted within the Benin Kingdom could be given codenames in the Benin language.

Earlier, Brigadier General Balogun said the visit formed part of his engagements since assuming command of the 4 Brigade a few months ago. According to him, the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce himself to the monarch and seek royal blessings and prayers for the brigade’s activities in the state.

He noted that the support and cooperation of the Benin throne would further strengthen the brigade’s efforts in maintaining peace and security.
