Obaseki appoints Osunbor, seeks approval for 7 commissioner -nominees, others

The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has appointed Lady Uwa Osunbor as Special Adviser, Political, Edo South Senatorial district of the State.

Obaseki also forwarded the names of seven commissioner-nominees to the Edo State House of Assembly for confirmation, four months after he sworn in 11 Commissioners some into office.

He also approved the appointment of thirteen (13) new Permanent Secretaries, the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie disclosed this on Thursday in a statement.

The appointment of the Special Adviser takes immediate effect while the Commissioner-nominees will await screening and confirmation from the Edo State House of Assembly, according to the statement.
