The local government assessment tour of the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun turned sour on Tuesday when the wife of the Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Alhaji Roqeeb Adeniji lost his wife in an auto crash at Akinhale area in Ewekoro local government area of the State.
Peoples Daily reliably gathered that the deceased, Deaconess Rachael Kikelomo Adeniji, 58, was involved in a lone accident while returning from the on-the-spot assessment tour of Governor Amosun to Ifo local government.
The vehicle, as learnt, lost control and somersaulted several times and the woman reportedly died on the spot.
One of the deceased’s son, Bolaji Adeniji confirmed the death of his mother to newsmen saying,” God knows best and from God she came and to God she has returned.”
Alhaji Adeniji, popularly called Baba Computer by his political admirers, is the APC State Chairman in Ogun, from Ado Odo/ Ota local government area.
The woman has always been part of the entourage that had been following the governor since the commencement of the local government tour about four weeks ago.
The remains of the deceased, according to a family source will be buried in two weeks ’time. She is survived by her husband and four children.
