Ogun Speaker solicits support for good governance

Date:

The Speaker of Ogun Assembly, Mr Suraj Adekunbi, yesterday said good governance could only be achieved if the people continue to support leaders who cherish democratic values and ideas.

Adekunbi stated this while speaking with newsmen in Aiyetoro, Yewa North Local Government area of the state.

The speaker, who represents Isokan 1 Constituency in the Assembly, said the standard and quality of life of the people would be greatly improved where democrats were in office.

“ The massive development in infrastructure and other oriented programmes going on in the state were due to the quality leadership of Gov. Ibikunle Amosun.

“Who might have thought that a six-lane road would pass through Ayetoro within a short time?

“That is the nature of magnitude of infrastructure that is ongoing in all parts of the state,” he said.

Adekunbi solicited the support of the people for the government in advancing socioeconomic development of the state.

He gave an assurance that more democratic dividends would still be delivered to the people. (NAN)
