A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and a leading gubernatorial aspirant in Delta State, Chief Osiobe Okotie said that President Muhammadu Buhari has transformed Nigeria for good and most Nigerians want him to continue in office beyond 2019.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja, Chief Okotie said that President Muhammadu Buhari administration has done very well in the two fundamental areas upon which it rode to power and deserves the support of Nigerians.
He said the president has also done excellently well in other areas including the economy and agriculture.
Chief Okotie pointed out that the people of Nigeria are behind the president and that they have seen in him the transparent, competent and trustworthy leader they crave for.
According to him: “Nigeria’s Foreign Reserve has peaked at $40billion, the highest level in about four years and up from $24billion just a year ago. Also the nation is saving N24.7billion monthly with the full implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA). The capital inflow in the second quarter of 2017 is about $1.8billion.
“Let me reiterate it that Niger Delta is for Buhari. Niger Deltans believe in him and are already working for him. Our political leaders are at work, and he will win handsdown in Niger Delta.
“By the grace of God he will contest in 2019 and he will win resoundingly. God the giver of life has made him well, he is as fit as a fiddle and ready to continue the good work he is doing.”
Okotie urged Nigerians to support the federal government, adding that, “The damage done to Nigeria by the past administration requires a gradual and sustained approach and not magic.”
